Case study: One Good Word One Good Deed
It started as a website job. It became a movement.
I met Jason Lewis at a diner on May 30, 2026 to talk about a website. By the end of that conversation, the plan had grown into building the whole operation behind his anti-bullying mission. Today I serve as Vice President and Digital Director of One Good Word One Good Deed, and I build and run that operation so Jason can stay focused on students, schools and the community.

The story in pictures

The diner meetingWhere it started. A conversation about a website turned into a plan for the whole operation.
Community eventsGetting to work. An OGWOGD table at a community event, meeting people face to face.
Building the sponsor networkBuilding the network, one local partner at a time.
ogwogd.orgThe home page of ogwogd.org, the movement's home base online.
ogwogd.org on a phoneThe same site on a phone, where most visitors find it.
Build
A home base online
I built ogwogd.org as the home base for the movement.
- A pledge wall where people commit to the mission
- A way for principals and educators to book the school program online
- A sponsor sign-up form and a Hall of Fame that thanks every sponsor
- A memorial page
- Event pages where people can say they are coming
Build
An online shop
The shop has been open since September 16, 2026.
- The shop takes real card payments and every order is recorded automatically
- Prices always match what OGWOGD sets, so there are no surprises at checkout
Build
A program schools can book
I helped turn the mission into a program schools can actually book.
- A five-step anti-bullying program for grades K to 12
- A secular version and a faith-based version
- A price sheet for the 2026-27 school year
- A program guide written for principals
Launch
Out in the community
The mission has to show up in person too.
- The Stop Bullying truck, fully wrapped
- A sponsor binder to hand to local businesses
- Community events, including A Night For Drayke on October 30, 2026
Launch
Getting into schools
Getting in front of schools takes paperwork and follow-through.
- Placement on the Wayne-Westland Community Schools approved vendor list in May 2026
- School principals reaching out to ask about the program
Run
Keeping it running
After launch, I keep the operation running.
- Day-to-day admin
- School and event bookings
- Fundraising support
- A full security check of the website, with every gap closed
